LET THE HOLY SCRIPTURES PROVE YOUR MARRIAGE
April 1st
Text: Genesis 2:21-25
Key Verse: Joh 13:17  If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Many have entered into relationship that they think is marriage relationship which is not scriptural. Although they see themselves as husband and wife, God sees them as fornicators or adulterers. Let the scriptures prove your marriage.

Gen 2:24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. This verse suggests that marriage is between two persons, male and female. Not between woman and woman as in lesbianism or man and man as in homosexuality. Rom 1:24, 26-27  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  26  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Genesis 2:24 also suggests that polygamy (marriage to more than one spouse), is also unscriptural. Polygamy recorded in the Old Testament times was an exception and cannot be used as a standard for today’s Christianity. It was not so from the beginning. Mat 19:4  And he [Jesus] answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female. Paul’s instruction in 1 Timothy 3:2 that “A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife” applies to all believers. Similarly, marriage to a divorcee whose husband or wife is still alive is unscriptural and sinful. This is so because God does not recognize divorce in a validly consummated marriage. For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away (Malachi 2:16). For this reason, whosoever marries a divorcee whose partner is still alive commits adultery. Mark 10:11-12  And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. 12  And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

Thought for the day: Let not your marriage take you to hell. Use the scripture to prove it now.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
