THE DUTY OF PRAYER
MONDAY JANUARY 29
TEXT: LUKE 6:12-13
KEY VERSE: “Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be inquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.” Ezekiel 36:37.
God wants His children to take prayer as a duty in their lives, families and ministries. Prayer is a spiritual wrestling against the principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. In Colossians 4:12, Epaphras, laboured fervently for the Colossians in prayers, that they may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. Job 42:10 “And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before”. James 5: 16 “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”. God has everything in stock for His children but wants them to exercise faith in Him and recognize that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. God has put the angels there anywhere you pray to pick up your prayer and release answer for you. Pray all kinds of prayers: all-night prayer, fasting, chain prayer, individual prayer and group prayers for God says men ought always to pray and not faint. In our text of today, Jesus, our creator prayed all night. Your presence in Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide is a divine calling to pray and work to usher in the rapture. When your prayer increased, the forces of darkness will bow, the Occultist and other Religions will automatically collapse. You can know mighty things by prayer. The vision, mission and objectives of HOREMOW can only be realized by prayer. The greater works God desires you to do cannot happen without prayer. There is no holiness without prayer. Revelation of knowledge comes by prayer. Prayer brings healing to love ones, breaks every yoke: lust, anger, envy, immorality etc. We must not cease to pray for one another, our family and the church which must be done as a duty. As you pray in holiness and righteousness, God will give you a new heart, healing will come and there shall be joy in our lives, the home and the Church (Ezekiel 36:25-27). By prayer barrenness is broken: Hannah was in bitterness of soul and prayed unto the LORD and wept sore. God answered her and she testified “for this child I prayed and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of Him”. John 16:24 “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full”. The Lord grant your petitions unto Him today. Amen.
