TOPIC:  THE ETERNAL DOOM OF CARELESS BELIEVERS.  TUESDAY AUGUST 1
TEXT:  EZEKIEL 3:18-21
KEY VERSE:  Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Ezekiel 3:20

Our Christian race is a delicate one in which every believer must strive to succeed. “Earnestly contend for the faith” says Jude the apostle. Many today, due to carelessness, have forfeited their salvation and damned the consequences. We shall examine their punishment in today's devotion from the testimony of the book titled DIVINE REVELATION OF GOD'S HOLINESS AND JUDGEMENT:

After the preacher had gone to hell, while we were still standing there, another believer died and was coming towards the gate. From a distance, I could see spots all over his white garment. When he came, Jesus looked at him and said:

“When I saved you from your sins I gave you a robe of righteousness and holiness of life. You have polluted your garment with modern Christianity. You carried counterfeit experience and were going about with them, which did not help you. You threw away the garment I gave you.”

“Therefore, we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.” (Hebrew 2:1).

That believer stood before the Lord in deep sorrow and was weeping. Jesus told him,

“The holiness I gave a believer is the holiness that purifies his heart and enables him to serve God in true righteousness all the days of his life. Therefore, nothing that defileth, or is abominable or that loveth or maketh a lie can enter into heaven. The Father is holy. I, the Son, am holy. The Spirit is holy. Above all, heaven has been dedicated to holy living. Heaven is too holy to accommodate you; you cannot enter into it.”

Again, a mighty wind came on him and blew him into hell fire. He landed in hell. That was his end. Jesus told me He had determined not to compromise the entry qualification into heaven, which are Righteousness, Truth and Holiness, though men are changing.

Thought for the Day:  Better is the end of a thing … remain holy to the end. Make me holy, make me holy, make me holy oh Lord.
Song for the Day: Will you be ready when Jesus comes?
Bible reading for the day: Psalm 65-67; Romans 2

KEY VERSE: It came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said, Lord, teach us how to pray as John taught his disciples. Luke 11: 1. When Jesus Christ came to us in the flesh, He went into the business of prayer because He was promoting the attribute of God as a prayer-answering God. He would not render that attribute idle or redundant. Nobody knew how John did it, but Jesus reveals here that the success you saw in the ministry of John the Baptist, the victory you saw in his ministry, is because he was a prayer man. John so much valued prayer. He saw the essentials of pr...
