TOPIC: THERE IS NO REVERSE GEAR IN MARRIAGE. SATURDAY JULY 15
TEXT: MARK 10:10-12
KEY VERSE: “The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.” (1Corinthians 7:39).
The law of marriage binds a husband to his wife and the wife to her husband as long as both of them are still alive. Divorce is not an option. Whoever divorces and remarries when the marriage partner is still alive has no part in the kingdom of God. He or she is committing adultery.
“For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loose from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if the husband be dead, sheis free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.” (Romans 7:2-3).
If you are married to another woman or as a woman you are married to another man, apart from your first scripturally binding marriage partner, you are in a wrong relationship and must dissolve it, if you want to please God and go to heaven. You should go back to your first lawfully marriage partner or stay unmarried.
There are those who say that adultery committed by one of the partners in a marriage union can result to divorce and remarriage. This understanding comes from the misinterpretation of the scriptures (i.e. Matthew 5:32; 19:9) The issue being referred to here as basis of divorce is fornication, not adultery. Unfortunately, some Bible translations replace the word fornication with marital unchastely or marital unfaithfulness. Many stumble by these renderings. Fornication is a sin which is committed by someone who has not yet entered into the marriage union (i.e. at the introduction stage as practiced in the Jewish custom). The word of God in John 8:1-12 settles this matter. Under the present dispensation, no sin can cause divorce. If adultery can, then any other sin including lying or stealing can as well. They cannot be separated because the two have become one according to scripture:
“And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. And again in the house his disciples asked of the same matter. And he saith unto them, whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery” (Mark 10:8-12).
Those who desire to marry should study issues well so that they will not fall into the hands of someone already scripturally married and get damned due to immorality. If you have married wrongly, such ungodly marriage must be dissolved.
Thought for the Day: Look well before entering marriage and stay put once you enter.

God's blessings shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Signs And Wonders Should Be According To Biblical Pattern Text: Mark 16: 17 – 20 Wednesday May 8th Key verse: Obadiah 17 “Upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.” God has prepared to direct us on holy service unto Himself. He tells us when the lives and services of people are corrupt because from the heart of men proceed the works they do. When people are righteous and holy, their service is also righteous and holy. Hence, the word says, make the people holy then their service will be holy, so if you accept to live a life of holiness, then the fruit of your service will be holy. So, it is very important to accept the life of holiness because the God that made you is holy; He will give you grace to be holy. You just make up your mind to be holy. Do not accept that no man can be holy; then Jesus came for nothing, Jes...
