OBSTACLES IN THE HEAVENLY RACE MONDAY APRIL 10 TEXT: PHILIPPIANS 3:12-15 Key Verse: “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus” Hebrews 3:1 God has called us to a high, holy and heavenly calling, so your names have been enrolled in heaven. Considering the total population of about 7 billion humans on earth, are we sure the names in the book of life is up to Five Hundred Million? We are so blessed to have our names are in the book of life. However, the Lord wants to warn you of some obstacles on the way to heaven. 1 Corinthians 9: 24-27. 24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. What are the things that withdraw people’s names from the Book of life? : (1) Unbelief: When Peter turned his eyes away from Jesus, He began to sink. The Israelite despite great things the Lord did on their way to the promise land they still disbelieve. Hebrews 3: 7-12, 4:1-3; (2) The Flesh – Galatians. 5: 16-21: The flesh is a big and mighty obstacle. If you don’t manage your flesh or body it will remove your name from the book of life; (3) The Word: Be careful with the cares of this world. 2 Timothy 4:10; (4) Family – Matthew 10: 34 -38 Do not allow the pressure from your family members to stop you from Heaven; (5) Money – 1 Timothy 6: 7-10: Remember Judas sold Jesus with 30 pieces of Silver. Do not love money more than God; (6) Satan – Matthew 4:1-11: Jesus was tempted, but He overcame, so you must also overcome Satan. 1 Peter 5: 7-8. The Lecturer tells you to lie with him so he can pass you in the examination. That is the lie of the devil. Thought of the day: Lest after I have preached to others I myself should be cast away. Song of the day: Heavenly race, I no go tire…. Bible reading for the day: 1 Samuel 4-6; Luke 12:35-59 #horemow

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
