THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT FRIDAY APRIL 21 Text: Galatians 5: 22-26 Key Verse: “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it bring forth more fruit” John 15:2 The Holy Spirit produces the spiritual virtues of love, joy, peace, faith, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience and self control in the life of the holy Christian. These virtues are collectively called the fruit of the Spirit to make his light shine before men in righteousness and holiness so that they may glorify God for his life. The spiritual virtues contained within this fruit of the Spirit are described as: 1. Love: shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, for God and for our fellow men 2. Joy: flows in the believer’s heart as a sign of true salvation, Psalm 51:12 3. Peace: proves that we are God’s Children, Mathew 5:9 4. Long suffering: makes the child of God to bear long with God and with men in times of trials 5. Gentleness: makes the Christian to love and relate peacefully with his fellow men 6. Goodness: God’s goodness manifested in the believer. Hebrews 12:14. 7. Faith: keeps us in constant connection with God, Hebrews 11:6. 8. Meekness: Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth 9. Temperance: keeps the believers from the sins of appetite and worldly cares. If we live and walk in the Spirit we will bear the fruit of the Spirit and will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. Good fruits are always displayed for people to buy and eat. Jesus said that believers are the light of the World, and that we should let our light shine before men, that they may see our good works and glorify God because of us, and be challenged to draw closer to the Lord. As it is natural for good and living tree to bear good fruits, so it is for every Spirit filled Christian to bring forth godly fruits. Any person who has not the Holy Spirit in him is not of Christ and cannot bear the fruit of the Spirit. Thought for the day: Against such there is no law Song for the day: Make me Holy, make me Holy, make me Holy o Lord ….. Bible reading for the day: 2 Samuel 1-3; Luke 18:1-17 #horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
