LIFE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD (PART 1) MONDAY APRIL 17 TEXT: EPHESIANS 5:3-4, Key Verse: “Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil” Ecclesiastes 5:1 Some people go to church and walk up and down instead of settling down one place to hear the word of God and participate fully in the worship service. Some take excuse of going to ease themselves and after that instead of coming straight inside the church, they while away time outside to discuss, gossip, backbite with friends who are also outside. Hence there are usually many people of outside the church, doing whatever pleases them, while worship is going on inside. Some go to church to make friends or meet old friends, some to look for life partner and therefore are careless about the worship going on in the church service. Many people go to church for different purposes – some go to do business, seek for job connections hence their mind is not in the worship service their attention is divided. Others go to showcase new clothes, new shoes, new car etc. some go to look for healing, deliverance, miracle and breakthrough, not Jesus, not the word of God that will grant them eternal life. Some go late and leave before closing all for flimsy excuses. Man! Why are you so earthly minded? Why are you living for the mundane things of this world? Do you know that you have another life to live eternally after this earth? Some go to church to dance, church is the place to learn new styles of dance. The Bible says that the church is the pillar and ground of truth, but they’ve turned it into dancing theatre to display unholy dances. Many go to church, pay much money to travel for conferences and come back empty because something else took away their attention rather than Jesus that they ought to seek for. Some though seated quietly their minds are over flogged with many things, their mind is outside the church while some are busy dozing. Repent from all these attitudes and seek Jesus sincerely when you go to His presence, pay attention to the word of God which will grant you eternal life. No discussion, no jesting, no noise making in His holy presence. Thought for the day: Maintain cleanliness in the house of God Song for the day: I was glad when they say let us go to the house of the Lord. Bible reading for the day: 1 Samuel 22-24; Luke 16:1-18 #horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
