LIVING THE LIFE OF CHRIST, BY CARRYING YOUR CROSS TUESDAY APRIL 25 TEXT: JOHN 12:24-26 Key Verse: “I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” Galatians 2: 20 There is no new life without the death of the old man, there is no comfort without pain, there is no crown without cross. Jesus paid the price for our salvation with his own blood, which is true. He became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross and the bible says let this mind be in us which is also in Christ Jesus, for those who live righteously in Christ Jesus must suffer persecution, for a disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his Lord. Jesus Christ commanded us to carry our cross when He said, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself and takes up his cross daily, and follow me. The cross is what you suffer or what it costs you to follow Christ. The cross is an emblem of obedience, when you make up your mind to obey God’s command and forsake sinful pleasure, such as fornication, adultery etc. worldly dresses and entertainments; the cross is an emblem of suffering; of course if you made up your mind to follow Christ, your husband will persecute you for removing your jewelries, make up and weavon / attachment. Being an unbeliever, he may not love you as suppose thinking you look ugly. Your wife will persecute you by nagging you for not bringing large money home that is not clean, your parent may persecute you for leaving their pagan religion, your boss may sack you for refusing to compromise; The cross is an emblem of persecution for preaching the true gospel. Thr size of your congregation may reduce for preaching total holiness, righteousness and truth. Your senior pastor may drive you out of the church for not preaching their doctrine of men. You may be persecuted or stoned for preaching Christ in some places; the cross is an emblem of sacrifice, the energy and time you put in fasting and prayer, the pleasure you denied to follow Jesus, the wrong marriage you forfeited for heaven. No matter the pain, the pressure the shame, the difficulty, you are expected to carry your cross daily to the end of your life. Thought for the day: When you go to heaven which mark of suffering will you present to Jesus Song for the day: The Lord knows the way through the wilderness. Bible reading for the day: 2 Samuel 13-14; Luke 20:1-26 #horemow

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
