Sinful Men Have Corrupted Burial Ceremony

Saturday 18th April

Text: Isaiah 1:1- 4
Key Verse: Isaiah 1:4 “Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord they have provoked the holy one of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.”
Many have missed what God ordains burial ceremony to be and to achieve in the hearts of men. God says, “It is the house of mourning.” God expects people to go there to cry and mourn but today, culture, custom, tradition and churches have turned burial ceremony into feasting. It is a house to go in with sorrow and sober reflection. You are to go to burial ceremony with these questions:
Did he make it to heaven?
Where is his soul now?
Did he live righteous and holy in this world before his death?
If he died in his sins, he is not with God now, but in hell fire. Another thing that should come to your mind is, “If I die now, where will I go?” Alas, the church has gone the way of the world and has turned the bereaved home to a place of feasting: eating, dancing and rejoicing. They have no consideration that a soul has left the earth for eternity, and most probably, eternity in everlasting fire.
Some reasons we sorrow over the dead: (i) His loved ones shall not see him on earth again. (ii) His contribution to the blessing of his family, church and society shall not continue. (iii) Many people may go into suffering for his permanent absence. (iv)  His wife becomes a widow and may suffer (v) His children shall be fatherless. (vi) His good work in society shall not continue. (vii) If he died a sinner, he shall enter everlasting judgment of God in hell fire (viii) If he died a believer, his ministry and kindness among believers have come to an end. (ix) He might have died untimely due to some unfortunate incidents; hence, people mourn over him for his misfortune in life. (x) If he died after a long sickness or hazard, people mourn over him in pity for what he suffered. (xi) If he died young, people mourn because he did not live his full years and so, has contributed little or nothing to his family, the church and human society.  (xii) There are other reasons people go into sorrow for the dead.

For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...

Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2)

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2) Wednesday 15th October TEXT: Titus 3: 3-6   Key verse: Titus 3: 6 “Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.” I remember I was in Sao Tome and Principe as a deeper life national overseer and I was writing the book, “Divine Revelation of God’s Holiness and Judgment.” The vision the Lord gave to Michael Sambo. I was translating it into a book, with the scriptural backups to make it a sound evangelistic book. I saw that truly the world is doomed. What will I say about those who have not known Jesus among the 7 billion people on earth; those who do not even have anything to do with Him? Do I speak of the billions in Asia without understanding of Jesus? Out of the 1.4 billion in India, they are struggling to record 150 million Christians including Catholics.  Who knows Jesus then? Even among Pentecosta...
