Change Your Thoughts In Christ
Text: Luke 15: 11-18
Monday 6th April
Key Verse: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).
A man is a product of the predominant thought of his heart. Through imagination, he can do the unimaginable. The construction of the tower of Babel began with thought, followed by corresponding action. When God came down to see the building, He said, “Nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” Your thought is very powerful, and it produces your attitude towards a thing, a person or a place. While you were growing up as a child, you were told that a particular place was an evil forest where nobody enters and comes out alive. You grew up with this mentality and the phobia that went along with the place. The day you saw someone enter the forest to defecate and came out alive, you changed your mind towards the place. Some of your nightmares are products of your thoughts during the day. Your thoughts are conditioned by what you see and hear; that is why Satan has organised naked pictures for you to see the nakedness of the opposite sex and imagine yourself lying with them. It is the same reason you see young ladies walking half-naked on the streets. Same way, immoral jokes and indecent statements will produce immoral thoughts.
Those who grew up where satanic practices like cultism and witchcraft are magnified will be obsessed with evil thoughts and exalt the devil. Change your thought and magnify God above Satan. The prodigal son came with a change of thought, and what followed was reception, merriment and jubilation. Genuine renewal of thought can only come through transformation in Christ. The Holy Ghost will bring about a change in your life. There is no way you can be the man that God wants you to be except you change your thoughts by the Holy Ghost. Be filled with the knowledge of His will. Interpret everything spiritually. Occupy your mind with the right thought.
