More Comments And Clarifications On Family Planning

Tuesday, March 19th

Text: Genesis 35: 16 - 20
Key verse: Psalm 127:3 “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD; and the fruit of the womb is His reward.”
Be wise in making decisions. Someone may decide not to give birth to many children because he may not be able to cater for them. Some of them may end up as vagabonds and not even go to school. God is not against that wisdom because He does not want you to have wayward children. However, God gave Jacob many children; twelve boys and a girl. Jacob was fruitful indeed and multiplied and replenished the earth. Some people desire to raise large families like Jacob. They are not sinning. If there are enough resources and they decide to raise large families, it is not sinful. The one that gives birth to one or two is not sinning either. Let everyone be convinced of what he can do. The scripture does not compel one couple to replenish the earth. Let each family apply wisdom. Many women die during childbirth because their bodies become so weak that they can’t pass through anymore. Did they go to heaven? We are not clear. Do not misapply scripture. Don’t give birth to children that will cause trouble in society; you will be responsible for making human settlement difficult by wayward children, Eli died because of his wayward children.
Comment: There are methods and drugs which doctors use to prevent conception. The natural method works sometimes and sometimes it does not because in some homes, the woman may agree to use the calendar method but the man may not cooperate.
Clarification: I am grateful you understand because some people rather abuse us. In fact, some have left HOREMOW, as seen from the internet because Pastor permitted the use of contraceptives. Surprisingly, some of them are not even married. Some people refuse to use medicines. What about praying without results? When Jesus said, “O Lord, remove this cup from Me”, was it done? So, in addition to faith and prayer, God has made other provisions. Do not be misled and die in ignorance.

Thought for the day: Wisdom is profitable to direct.

Song for the day: My wife shall be a blessing, my children around my table …

Bible reading for the day: Judges 17-19

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. January Saturday 18th TOPIC: HOW TO ATTAIN BIBLE HOLINESS TEXT: Romans 6:20-23 KEY VERSE: Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Besides the essential knowledge of the holy life of a Christian, it is good to understand the manner and process of becoming holy before God. Holiness of life is a life that has overcome sin through the saving power of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. It is a life that does not commit sin. 1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Getting this experience requires four things: 1. Know that apart from holiness, there is no alternative lifestyle for heaven. Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holin...
