Beware of Cultic Preachers

Tuesday, February 27th

Text: Acts 8:18-23
Key verse: Jonah 2:8 “They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.”
They bring materials of witchcraft; sand from Jerusalem, salt, handkerchiefs, and aprons and they spread these among the people to contaminate them; soak handkerchiefs in water and drink. It has been anointed by the bishop…making the people to see the bishop as greater than Jesus. Corrupt people that are corrupting their members. You would have been a serious Christian by now but you passed through their way; they delayed you there and you drank of their polluted water. Thank God you did not die and by the grace of God we shall press out all those things you have drunk so that you will recover and come back to your senses.
The sinner gets weary on his way because he is busy looking for the way to the city but he cannot find it. Sin has blinded his eyes. You have been looking for the way of life but you never found it. You were not in a place to find it. You went to Sokoto and said you were looking for the ocean in the desert. You will spend your days moving from one place to another and not find any ocean there. If you want to find the ocean, go down to Lagos, Port Harcourt, Warri, and the southern states; you will see the ocean.  You have been spending your time in the region of darkness. You have been looking for Jesus in a region of darkness. You went to churches that Jesus has left. The disciples entered the grave but Jesus was not there; He had resurrected. Will He come back to that grave? No, but you went there looking for Jesus. These corrupt pastors manifest many ungodly and unscriptural practices: They bathe people with water; they give them oil and water to drink and carry about; they give you anointing oil to sprinkle on your doors and windows … you do not know it is witchcraft practice. Your faith has gone to the anointing oil that you have sprinkled on your window, on your bed, and in your room. If anything happens; Ah! Where is the bottle of oil? Because they have turned your faith from Jesus into something that does not have blood; a thing that never died for you.

Thought for the day: They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

Song for the day: I need Thee every hour

Bible reading for the day: Deuteronomy 20-21

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The Source Of Faith

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. The Source Of Faith  Tuesday 18th March Text: Romans 1:16-17 Key Verse: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 What is the foundation for our faith? The faith of the just man has the following sources, from where it gets its inspiration. The Word Of God: The foundation of the faith of the just, is the word of God.  The word of God is the production room of the faith which the just exercises. The faith of the just has its foundation in what God has said in His word.  Faith seeks for what God has said to stand upon.  Have you seen the promises of God for you, from the word? Have you seen God's message for you, in the scriptures?  Believe it absolutely, and it shall surely come to pass. This will enhance your faith for subsequent needs of your life. “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, ...
