Uncommon Signs And Wonders (Part 2)

Friday February 9th

Text: 2 Kings 2:7-15
Key verse: 2 Kings 2:13 “He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan.”
These are not common miracles. Do not attempt to do them. However, false prophets may claim that they can do everything. Do not follow or yield yourself to them. They may do some lying wonders to deceive you and remove eternal life from you. Elijah and Elisha divided the river Jordan by uncommon faith. It could be that God wanted the incident of Elijah going up to heaven to be registered on earth forever so He accompanied it with an uncommon miracle such that people will always remember this. Fifty sons of the prophets viewed this miracle; that Elijah smote the river and it parted into two and that he crossed over on dry ground together with Elisha.
The faith of Elisha was very high in asking for a double portion. To give him a sign that he had received the power according to the will of God, Elisha had the same impartation of uncommon faith. He also smote the river Jordan and said, “Where is the LORD GOD of Elijah?” The river was divided into two. He crossed over and everybody knew that the spirit of Elijah now rested on Elisha. Apart from these that happened within that day, did it ever happen again in the world? Did Jesus part any river? Did any of the Apostles part the river? No! It is an uncommon miracle that was provoked by uncommon faith, inspired and imparted by the Spirit of God.
I heard of some people that came to a river and said, “We shall divide this river and cross it.” So, they prayed for God to part it but the river did not part. They moved inside, saying, “River, you must part in Jesus’ name” until the water became angry and carried them away. So, do not boast of miracles. There are some things that lie in the hand of God and there are some things He gives man the ability to do. So, let us humble ourselves. Do not be deceived by proud men who pretend that they can do everything. The devil is a proud person and so his followers are also proud.

Thought for the day: Uncommon miracles are inspired and imparted by God

Song for the day: Only You can do, what no man can do, Jehovah

Bible reading for the day: Numbers 5-6

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
