MAKE YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER GLAD

God's blessings shall follow you, for taking your time to study

TOPIC: MAKE YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER GLAD

TEXT: EPHESIANS 6:1-3

TUESDAY JULY 18TH

Key verse: Proverbs 23:25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.
Submission and obedience of children and youths to parents and leaders promotes godliness and holiness which are vital requirements of God. May the Lord open the eyes of many children and youths to God's word and commandments to them and compel many to submit and obey their parents. God promises rewards to children that obey their parents according to the will of God but condemns obedience that is contrary to the word of God. Your obedience should be in areas that will make God happy with you and not in areas that will make Him sorrowful. Your father should not ask you to go and kill somebody or marry someone else's wife; neither should your mother ask you to go and steal someone's goods and you heed.
That is not obedience to the Lord. God is not happy with such assignments and in that case, you and your parents will be judged, because they have used you to do wickedness. However, in legitimate matters; things that are right, like “fetch water, wash plates, go on an errand” and so on; that is good and acceptable. Make your parents and guardians happy by doing so and they will bless you. Even if they do not pronounce blessings on you, God will certainly bless you. If you continue in this manner, it shall be well with you in life and many deadly situations will be averted over you for obeying God's word towards your parents.
He that beats up his father and mother is cursed. In fact, that child is wicked. Even if your father or mother abuses you or speaks evil against you, do not curse them. Assuming your father fights you, do not attempt to fight him back. The judgment for that is eternal death unless you repent. Importantly, this is a commandment and God puts the blessings of life on children who are obedient to their parents. God as well curses those who are disobedient to their parents. The scripture makes it plain that parents are glad when their children behave well and are sorrowful when their children are stubborn.
Thought for the day: Parents are glad when their children behave well but are sorrowful when they are stubborn.
Song for the day: I love Jesus (2x), He is my Friend (2x) …
Bible reading for the day: Psalm 25-27; Acts 20:17-38

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
