GOD HAS NOT SOLD HIS CHILDREN TO ANY MINISTER

God bless you for taking your time to study.

TOPIC: GOD HAS NOT SOLD HIS CHILDREN TO ANY MINISTER

TEXT: 1 PETER 5:1-3

WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 28th

KEY VERSE: Ephesians 6:9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
Today’s lesson is a revelation to Sister Linda Paul Rika on holiness preachers: A pastor that attended the conference was a stern holiness minister. His servant remained standing by him. Jesus told him, “You put on a hard face and are not cheerful because you want people to fear you. This is not Christianity! The scripture says to rejoice always in the Lord. The fruit of the Spirit is joy. Your attending minister has been standing in fear of you. You have not allowed him to sit down. You have made yourself the subject of ministry, not the Lord. You teach your members this way and you are their fear, not God.
With this attitude, it is not easy for Me to use your members. They are more loyal to you than to Me since they would want Me to take permission from you before using them. Since they do not associate with people, they are not lights to them. They are not known in society. They cannot win souls for Me because of fear. They are in your cage. Your pastor is still standing when others have sat down. My presence could not still set him free from you. My will is that you should be fruitful and multiply but this attitude has limited growth and spread of holiness.”
The Lord said, “When I came into the world, did I keep Myself away from men? I mingled with them to know them and save them.” The Lord turned to the attending pastor and said, “I see you standing by this man to prove your faithfulness to him even when others have taken their seats. You are doing this out of slavish fear of your leader. This does not attract My rewards. In your heart, you wish to sit down as others. You know your master's attitude is not godly, but you decided to do what will please him. You are giving him this undue respect even in My presence, showing you value him above the truth. I have not sold you to him as a slave.”

Song for the day: We are heirs of the Father…

KEY VERSE: It came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said, Lord, teach us how to pray as John taught his disciples. Luke 11: 1. When Jesus Christ came to us in the flesh, He went into the business of prayer because He was promoting the attribute of God as a prayer-answering God. He would not render that attribute idle or redundant. Nobody knew how John did it, but Jesus reveals here that the success you saw in the ministry of John the Baptist, the victory you saw in his ministry, is because he was a prayer man. John so much valued prayer. He saw the essentials of pr...
