BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT: A BOOST IN EVANGELISM

God bless you for taking your time to study.

TOPIC: BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT: A BOOST IN EVANGELISM

TEXT: ACTS 1: 1-5

FRIDAY DECEMBER 9th

Key verse: Acts 1:8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost comes upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Jesus Christ and the apostles preached that one who is born again is promised baptism in the Holy Spirit. This is called, “the promise of the Father”. Baptism in the Holy Spirit is the infilling of a believer with the power of the Holy Spirit. This is required for effective and fruitful Christian service. The initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in other tongues by the enablement of the Holy Spirit.
Every believer in Christ has the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Christ) in him or her but not every believer is baptized or filled with the Holy Spirit in baptismal measure. To receive the Holy Spirit baptism, a believer needs to believe that it is God’s will for him or her. In hunger and thirst for baptism in the Holy Spirit, he or she needs to seek the face of the Lord as an important prayer and exercise strong faith for this experience.
Acts 2: 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
All Disciples of Christ are commissioned by the Lord to go into the world and preach the gospel to every human creature. The commission entails going out to tell sinners everywhere the good news of salvation in Christ, baptizing those who accept or believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and teaching the believers all the word of God. This is required for their freedom, righteousness, holiness, victory, fruitfulness, and eternal Life. It is not enough for a man to be born again. Without full obedience to every word of God and holiness, no man shall see the Lord. There is a need for baptism in the Holy Spirit because without the Spirit’s filling, achieving the great commission would be almost impossible.

Thought for the day: Be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Song for the day: Holy Ghost power, power fall on me…

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
