TOPIC: A SPIRITUAL CHURCH IS LED BY A SPIRITUAL PASTOR 

TEXT:  Matthew 7:15-20

Key verse:  Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. 

Which pastors are according to God's heart but spiritual pastors? When these pastors preside over you, you will know. It is said: “every tree bears fruit after its kind.” It is not possible for a carnal man to lead a church and that church will be spiritual. 

According to today's devotional text, an evil pastor can never produce a clean person. If the inside of a pipe is dirty, the water coming out from it will also be contaminated. All that are in churches led by carnal pastors are in the flesh, hence they can never produce a righteous church. 

Have you thought about examining the life of your pastor? Don't you know that he who cannot save himself, cannot save you? This man that cannot change himself cannot change you. Have you also noticed that even you that see yourself as a sinner cannot save another person? 

No man is greater than his master. If the master is still in bondage, can a servant be free from bondage? Why joke with your soul? Why should men be matching to doom and nobody is aware of talking about it? And you too want to join to match with them to hell?

I will give you pastors according to my heart. Are all pastors according to God's heart? Are all pastors subject to God's word? Are all pastors true? No! You cannot, therefore, get the truth from some of them. Learn this thing and think again if you want to go to heaven. 

Otherwise, you have failed and your failure today will answer you tomorrow.  It will speak after your death. Learn this, you who want to go to heaven. “And I will give you pastors after my heart.” What are these pastors going to do? “Who shall give you knowledge and understanding.” Which knowledge? Mechanical knowledge? Academic knowledge? Knowledge of politics? No! 

They shall give you spiritual understanding, that you may understand things in God's way. You have been frustrated because you are not seeing things the way God sees them. You are easily irritable because you do not see things the way God sees them. You spoilt relationships with people because they have offended you. 

Why you are not talking to him again is because you are not seeing things in the way God sees them. These pastors will give you spiritual understanding that you may see things the way God sees them. You will follow the footpath of God and excel in life. 

Thought for the day: Follow pastors after God's heart for the salvation of your soul.
