ETERNAL LIFE HAS A LIFESTYLE

FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD REMAIN BLESSED.

DATE: TUESDAY 3rd AUGUST

TOPIC: ETERNAL LIFE HAS A LIFESTYLE

TEXT: Mark 10:17-23

Key verse: Matthew 3:8 Bring forth, therefore, fruits meet for repentance.

In today's text, a rich man came running and knelt to Jesus asking, “What shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” Thank God that people know about eternal life. They know that there is life after death. They know that life is forever and that there are qualifications for it. But the man who asked this question didn't have full knowledge of the value of eternal life.

This is so because when Jesus opened up the full knowledge of the value of eternal life to him, he went away grieved. He didn't go for it. Sorry for him. That is the poverty of the world. That is the sorrow of humanity. Satan has bound most of them. He has tied them and held them captive such that it is hard for them to appreciate the value of eternal life.

They are blind and cannot see the truth of God. The rich man asked Jesus a wonderful question. Jesus answered him, “Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.” Jesus wanted him to know that the person speaking to him was God. Jesus was opening his eyes to God and to let him know that only God can give him eternal life.

Then Jesus went further to tell him, “Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.” Can you see that eternal life has a lifestyle? Eternal life is not for sinners. That is why Jesus came so that they should not perish but have eternal life.

They should know him. They should accept him. They should follow the lifestyle of eternal life so that they may have eternal life and not perish. Many in the Church claim to be born again but there is no evidence of the fruit of righteousness in their life. Is that not hypocrisy? Eternal life does not come by a mere profession of faith in Christ; your lifestyle must prove that truly Christ lives in you.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Live the lifestyle of eternal life that will silence your persecutors.

1 Peter 3:16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

Thought for the day: The lifestyle of eternal life is evidence of true Christianity

Song for the day: Holiness is the beauty of believers…..

Bible reading for the day:
Psalm 70-72; Romans 4. #Horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
