TOPIC: TESTIMONY
ON RESTITUTION TO MY WIFE – Senator Emmanuel Bwacha
TEXT:1 Samuel
12:1-5
KEY VERSE: Daniel 6:4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion
against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor
fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or
fault found in him.
Restitution is a path for a peaceful
and glorious Christian life. What gives people worries in the world will not
disturb you again and you will live with a clear conscience. For this reason,
restitution is necessary for every Christian that is led to the Lord and has
become born again. I will be sharing some testimonies with you to let you know
that restitution is possible and to encourage you to do your own. Find below
the testimony of Pastor Emmanuel Bwacha, a serving senator of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria on the restitution he did.
I have never heard or known about
restitution until the Lord brought me to Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide
(HOREMOW). It was after I heard and read about the teachings on restitution, I
got to know that the doctrine is well documented in scripture. Before then, I
never knew that if one wants to be a perfect Christian there are some other
things he must do to cleanse himself. It is not just enough to say “I am now
born again, I have been baptized, I have changed my ways;” you must confess
your sins to enjoy perfect peace. When the Lord opened my eyes to this truth in
2012, I knelt before my wife and confessed all my wrongdoings against her. I
told her that I did not know I was hell-bound when I was doing those things.
Although it came with shame, but it was better for me to face shame before men
than to die and face the shame of eternity in the lake of fire and brimstone.
Another restitution I did was with a
Local Government Chairman in my community. When I went to him to do the
restitution he said, “Ah! Distinguished senator, you know this thing can be
overlooked. Leave it and I will handle it.” It then became a matter of
integrity so I said to him, “No, I want you to put it on record that I returned
this thing because I took it wrongly from the Government. That is what the
Bible requires me to do.”
Thought for the day: When you do your
restitution, it becomes a testimony.
Song for the day: Just obey, just
obey is the way, God’s way…….
Bible reading for the day: Leviticus
24-25; Mark 1:23-45
