TOPIC: THE CHRACTER OF A HOLY CHRISTIAN
TEXT: Ephesians 4:17-29
KEY VERSE: Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Every creature of God has its own peculiar character and nature, whether plants or animals. It is in the nature of fish to swim in the water and the dog to bark. The natural or un-regenerated man takes after Satan in character of lying, stealing, fornicating and committing all kinds of atrocities. Contrarily, a child of God acquires the genetic traits of God and exhibits his holy character in daily living. Some of the character traits we expect to see in the life of a true Christian include:

1. Passionate love for God and fellow men. 1John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. If you love you will not lie against another, you will not steal, gossip, kill or do anything to hurt God or another man.
2. Freedom from compromise due to fear and respect of persons. 2 Timothy 1:7 God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
3. Humility. Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4. Separation from sinners. 2Corinthians 6:14-17 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? … what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? …17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
5. Purity in Christian dressing. 1Peter 3:3-4 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
6. Kind speech and action. Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Thought for the day:  Reveal Jesus Christ in your daily lifestyle.
Song for the day: Holiness is the beauty of the believer……
Bible reading for the day:Exodus 29-30; Matthew 22:1-22.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
