TOPIC: BE LED BY INSPIRATION OF GOD, NOT BY CARNAL INSTINCTS
TEXT: Judges 6:14-17
KEY VERSE: Judges 6:16 And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

In the book of Judges, the Lord was telling Gideon, you are a mighty man of valour, you are a warrior, you are a captain of the host, you will do great exploits for God, you will win great battle for God. Gideon said, “Who am I, what is my father’s house?” But God assured him to go and fight against the Midianites and that He will give them over to him. Gideon was not even sure it was God talking to him. He put out many tests to confirm it was God calling him into service and he received positive responses. To cap it all, God leaked to him a privileged information that the fear of Gideon had gripped the Midianite camp. Then Gideon became convinced and emboldened that he could win the battle. Gideon then began to believe what the Lord was telling him that he was a mighty man of valour.

In this spiritual battle, I want you to note something very important that Gideon did. Judges 7:17, 18 And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do. When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon. Gideon said to his warriors, what you see me do, do also. I am doing it by inspiration. I am doing it by divine instruction and he that instructed me to do it will produce great result. I am fetching water into these six waterpots because I was instructed to do so. I am fetching out to give to the governor of the feast because I am instructed to do so. Surely the finest wine will come out to satisfy invited guests at the wedding at Cana.  That is the way to go about it and achieve great results. Receive from God, transmit to your followers and together great success shall be achieved.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
