Let me share the life story of Polycarp to bring this point home. Polycarp was a martyr of the Christian faith who was the Bishop of the church in Smyrna, a city in Asia Minor (now Turkey) that is devoted to Roman worship. The Roman Empire hated the early church for various reasons, especially their refusal to sacrifice to idols. The Christians were made to deny their faith or get killed. The Holy Spirit has been with us for 2000 years. Now our time is almost up. Jesus is coming for rapture of the church very soon and that will be the end of the church.
