THE PLACE OF LEISURE AND RELAXATION SUNDAY JUNE 4 TEXT: MARK 6: 30 – 32 Key Verse: “And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat” Mark 6: 31 Look at this scripture, take time to rest. The rest may not be too long at a time, but you need rest. The Bible said, leisure. It means, do something that will relax your heart and that will give your mind joy and peace. Some may just go and sit by a river and be watching as it flows. ’Eh! You left preaching? You didn’t go for evangelism?’ “I returned from evangelism and I want to recover. That is why I am sitting by this river to watch the creation of God. I take delight in watching the creation of God and it gives me leisure”. That is what the Lord expects of you. Be free to do that. Or else, you go and sit in a garden, beside the flowers and you take leisure. For some, there may be a beautiful rug in their house, they just lie on the rug and be rolling and be relaxing, it is leisure. Some go to sit under the air conditioner, and be enjoying it, it is leisure. Some have some good things to watch that excite them. It is leisure. Everybody has that which interests him. You need it to recover, to refresh. Of course, you can have a chat too or a talk with someone. It is leisure. All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy. For instance, you may come into somebody’s house and you see beautiful Cushion chairs and the way he decorated the house, then you say, ‘Hey! People can waste the money of God’. . . God has given us freely all things to enjoy. Watching those things give him leisure to cause him to recover and go back to the work. It is part of it, no sin or iniquity is inside. What he watches and what he does to just relax. Sometimes it is sports. Some may say, we play game of Badminton. It is in my house, I play it with my children or with friends. It is leisure, it relaxes the body, that the body has no tension. You whose knowledge is small, when people are talking, keep quiet, be fast to hear. Otherwise you will be wondering, Eh! I went to his house and saw him playing Badminton. These Christians of these days! Jesus taught His disciples this. Avoid places of danger and take precaution for your soul. Don’t tempt the Lord by being negligent and then saying that you have faith. Thought for the day: All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy. Song for the day: In the Presence of God, Alleluia! Joy! Bible reading for the day: 2 Chronicles 13-16; John 14 #horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
