POWER OF EXEMPLARY LIFE MONDAY JUNE 26 TEXT: MATTHEW 5: 13-16 Key Verse: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” 1 Peter 2: 9 The Lord is calling you to a life of example and that life is called the life of light. You are a light to the world, you are a city built on a hill, a light lighted and put on top of a table that men may see, and be helped, and follow, your life is an example. There is a story told of a muslin student in a university who told his class mate of a person passing by and said if that person preaches Jesus to him, he will believe because he has seen the life of that person, he is living exemplary life. Again, a children teacher was teaching and describing whom Jesus was in character, life style and behaviour, how loving Jesus is as he was describing Jesus, a child raised up his hand and said “I have seen that Jesus, he is my neighbour”. The child has a true Christian in his community whose life was the life of Jesus and the description given about Jesus resembled him. That is what made that child believed he has seen Jesus with his eyes. Another story was told of a preacher who went to preach and played a film for people to watch. After a muslin woman watched the film, she said she believed in the gospel and would have submitted her life to Jesus but she is afraid her daughters would spoil because of dressing of women in Christianity, the nakedness she saw among many Christian women. She was afraid that if she and her family become Christians her daughters will begin to expose their bodies, so she decided not to become a Christian even though she can see the message is right. Such is the negative power of exemplary life. Show an exemplary life that will take others to heaven not that which destroys and condemns. Get a very good Christian husband, he is a message to the wives to preach to their husbands. Again, get a good wife, a godly Christian wife, holy, humble, sanctified, such is a message to husbands and they will preach her to their wives. An industrious child, obedient and submissive, that child will be a message to parents who will preach him to their children. Thought for the day: Be an example that will lead others to heaven not that which destroys. Song for the day: My life shall be a testimony Bible reading for the day: Job 7-9; Acts 7:44-60 #horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
