Believers that remain steadfast and make it to heaven will be greatly rewarded. The Christian life is a battle, a fierce battle that only those who mean business can overcome. After giving our lives to Christ, to grow in Him and remain in the faith to the end is a battle because many things come along the way to stop you, to corrupt the knowledge you have acquired, to terminate the practice of true Christian life in you, and to force you out of the narrow way.
