HOLINESS REVIVAL MOVEMENT WORLDWIDE HOREMOW
DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY PASTOR PAUL RIKA INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR.
DATE: FRIDAY OCTOBER 16, 2026.
TOPIC: THE SOURCE OF FAITH
TEXT: ROMANS 1:16-17
16. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
KEY VERSE: ROMANS 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God
What is the foundation for your faith? The faith of the just man has the following sources where it gets inspiration;
*1. The Word of God:* The foundation of the faith of the just is the word for the word of God is the production room of the faith exercised by the just. The faith of the just has foundation in what God has said in his word. Faith seeks for what God has said to stand upon. The just is a tireless student of the word of God. The more he studies and hears, the more his faith in God is built. When you begin to stay far away from the word, you are distancing yourself from faith. No word of God, no faith in God.
*2.The Promises of Scriptures:* God can look at a contrary situation in your life and just pronounce a promise for you to reverse it. A promise that if you are not bold, you will not believe it; a promise that if you are not really prepared and convinced in your heart of the Omnipotence of God, you will doubt it. He can give you an unbelievable promise in a completely dry situation. That is your God. Do you know the nature of this God you are serving? He is the God who told Gideon that thirty-two thousand people were too many for Him to win the battle against the Amalekites and Midianites in the war.
*3. The Testimonies of Jesus:* The Righteous believes that the testimonies of Jesus are the Spirit of prophecy and that the testimonies prophesy into his life and assures him that as it happened to those who trusted in God, so shall it be unto him as he also trusts the Lord. As Romans 15:4 says “for whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope” What David did to Goliath is assuring you that you can do same to the devil.
