HOLINESS REVIVAL MOVEMENT WORLDWIDE HOREMOW
DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY PASTOR PAUL RIKA INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR.
DATE: TUESDAY OCTOBER 20, 2026.
TOPIC: THE WORK OF REDEMPTION AND RESTITUTION.
TEXT: HEBREWS 9:12. “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”
KEY VERSE: EPHESIANS 1:7 In whom we have redemption through His blood; the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;
Redemption in the bible refers to the act of being saved or delivered from sin or evil through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This concept involves a price paid to secure release from bondage, highlighting God's love and grace in restoring humanity to a right relationship with Him.
Redemption is total deliverance from bondage and freedom from sin and eternal consequences of death. Restoration of true believers to a life of righteousness and good relationship with God. No doubt Jesus Christ's blood is considered the ransom price paid for humanity's redemption, demonstrating immense love and sacrifice of our Lord and Savior.
Through redemption people are brought back into God's family, becoming His children and heirs of eternal life. It is God’s free gift to whomsoever will, emphasizing His unmerited favour and love towards humanity.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men which offers hope for eternal life freeing believers from power of sin and death. Surely, forgiveness is received and transformation to be like Jesus Christ.
The way the society may carry out restitution may not be the way the Bible may want it to be done. For conscience void of offence towards God and man and to follow peace with all men, redemption and restitution is a must to make heaven at last. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
Redemption frees people from enslavement to sin and death allowing them to live according to God's way, establishing a right relationship between God and humanity. It involves forgiveness of sins and justification, declaring believers righteous through faith in Christ.
Restitution is restoring relationship between individuals, communities, and God promoting justice, mercy, and reconciliation. Restitution requires making amend for past wrongs.
Thought for the day. Jesus Christ is our ransom.
Song for the day. The love of Jesus is wonderful. O wonderful love.
