Covet Job’s Exceptional Christian Life

Monday 23rd March

Text: Job 1:1-5
Key verse: “Man that is born of a woman is of a few days and full of troubles”. Job 14:1
Faithfulness to God does not guarantee that a person’s life will be free from trouble, pain and suffering. In fact, the Lord Jesus taught us to expect difficulties and challenges in this life. The Bible provides examples of godly people who suffered greatly for a variety of reasons. Among those who suffered were major figures such as Joseph, King David, Job, Jeremiah, and the apostle Paul. Jesus Christ, of course, went through the greatest suffering of all in order to accomplish God’s greatest goal, which is to make salvation available to all.
The Bible tells the story of Job as a man who was perfect and upright, and one who feared God and eschewed evil. Job was said to be greatly blessed with children, substances like sheep, camels, oxen, asses and a very great household, so that he was the greatest of all the men of the east. With all the wealth, he remained humble, always ensuring that his children lived a sanctified life devoid of worldly pollution.
God was proud of this exceptional holy living of Job and boasted to Satan about him. God went into a “bet” with Satan and allowed him to test Job, but not to tamper with his life. Within a short moment, Satan attacked and killed Job’s children, destroying all his livestock. Satan further attacked the health of Job with sore boils from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. In all these afflictions, Job never knew that God allowed all these to prove a point to Satan. “In all these did Job not sin with his lips.” His wife even said to him, “Dost thou still retain thine integrity? Curse God and die.” Job’s friends were not helpful in this situation; rather, they hurt him more. Let’s beware of evil counsels and relationships that can destroy your soul forever. In times of riches and happiness, lack and shame, Job still maintained his righteous and holy living. Job passed all the tests. Can you withstand temptations in times of trials?

For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...

Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2)

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2) Wednesday 15th October TEXT: Titus 3: 3-6   Key verse: Titus 3: 6 “Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.” I remember I was in Sao Tome and Principe as a deeper life national overseer and I was writing the book, “Divine Revelation of God’s Holiness and Judgment.” The vision the Lord gave to Michael Sambo. I was translating it into a book, with the scriptural backups to make it a sound evangelistic book. I saw that truly the world is doomed. What will I say about those who have not known Jesus among the 7 billion people on earth; those who do not even have anything to do with Him? Do I speak of the billions in Asia without understanding of Jesus? Out of the 1.4 billion in India, they are struggling to record 150 million Christians including Catholics.  Who knows Jesus then? Even among Pentecosta...
