Let Jesus Counsel You In Your Business Life
Saturday 21st February
Text: Proverbs 8:15-21
Key Verse: James 1:5 “ If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Very often, I go before Jesus and say, “Lord, how do I approach this? How do I handle this situation?” The answer will simply come, “Do it this way.” Are you not enjoying this wisdom of God in Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide? Are we not experiencing the peace of God in HOREMOW? Even when people rise up to attack, wisdom prevails over them. Where does this wisdom come from? It comes from Jesus, the Counsellor. He instructs us on how to act, how to move, how to live, how to speak, how to make choices; we are not doing these things by ourselves. He says, "By Me kings reign and princes decree justice; by Me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth." This message is particularly relevant for businessmen. What is the purpose of your business? You seek money, do you not? Jesus said that money is with Him. You desire wealth; you wish to be rich. Jesus affirmed that riches are with Him.
You seek honour. Honour is with Him— durable riches joined with righteousness, not riches that arise from deceit, fraudulent practices, or cheating others. No, you can be both rich and righteous like Job. He has the power to achieve this; turn your eyes to Him and seek counsel. Tell Him about the little money you have; raise it, as the five loaves and two fishes were raised up, and Jesus blessed them to feed 5,000 men, besides women and children. The Lord will do it for you.
You must be prepared to close down all the evil businesses you are involved in—selling cigarettes, selling alcohol, and opening up salons. I urge you to do away with all these things, even if it means returning to poverty for a time. The Lord is preparing a new rise for you; you will rise again, and it will be in a wonderful way as you cleanse yourself from evil. Do you believe Him? Let it be to you according to your faith in Jesus’ name.
