Sanctification Is Required To Enter Heaven
Tuesday 10th February
Text: Ephesians 5:25-27
Key Verse: 1 Thessalonians 5: 22 "Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it."
As Jesus prayed, He said, "Thine they were, and You have given them to Me. They have become mine." He said this before he died showing that those, He was praying for to be sanctified, were already believers. This was because the sacrifice for believers' sanctification was included in the redemptive plan of the Cross. The Cross is first a sacrifice for sinners' salvation, then a sacrifice for believers' sanctification.
You have married already just as He has gotten the Church already and gave Himself for it. He died for them that He might sanctify them. It means to give you a step above, salvation requires appropriating the benefits of the death of Christ. To bring you to holiness requires the application of the victory through the death of Christ. It is an experience of righteousness that removes carnality. You are sanctified so that you can be clean and holy without blemish or any such thing. That is God's desire for you, and He is ready to do it for you. You may be a Christian, but you are stubborn, yet you do not know why. The Bible says, "Consider them that minister among you and esteem them very highly in love." This is not in you because there is something that looks stony in your heart. You know that you lack real respect, appreciation, and gratitude towards leadership. This is the reason when the leader gives you assignment, you may not do it because the real fear and reverence for him is not in your heart. Your heart is dry, but you profess to be born again. This is a clear manifestation of Adamic nature. Take yourself back to God to get those things removed. He will give you a heart of flesh.
