UNDERSTANDING THE PERSONALITY OF GOD

Gods blessings shall follow you, for taking the time to study

TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING THE PERSONALITY OF GOD

TEXT: JOHN 4:22-24

THURSDAY AUGUST 24TH

Key Verse: 1 John 5:7 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one”
The scripture begins with God. Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God”. Who is God? Psalms 90:1-2 gives clear explanation about the existence of God: He is in existence “from everlasting to everlasting”. John 1:1 affirmed His existence in creation – “In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God”. God is One Person in three and three Persons in One. How do we know God is One? The singular pronoun used for a person is used for God: He, Him, I, I AM. One God created man and woman. In Isaiah 42:5, 45:18 He is addressed as the LORD, Self-existent Person, Jehovah, there is none else.
Jesus stressed that He is God, One Lord. In Isaiah 9:6 He was given to the world and bore the title Son for redemption purpose, John 1:14 He became flesh and dwelt among men, Proverb 8:30-31 He was by the Father, brought up with the Father…and His delights was with the sons of men. He came and dwelt among men. In John 4:22-24 Jesus said God is Spirit and those who serve Him… “Him” is singular pronoun. God is Three Persons in One; The plural pronoun, “us” used for God in Genesis 1:27 and 11:7 signify plurality in Godhead. 1 John 5:7 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one”. Whichever of them speaking, He speaks to Himself. Genesis 18:1-5
Three men visited Abraham and he understood, bowed before them and said, “My LORD”. The LORD, One LORD seen as three men. A coordinator testified that he was brought in a vision to the Holiness camp some years ago and three Persons met with him under the mango tree in front of Aquila hostel and prayed for him. The three Persons spoke but he heard one voice and they laid hands on him but he felt one hand. Recently, the Trinity visited the Holiness camp, Abuja as seen by Mummy Linda in a revelation and this unique nature was displayed as a confirmation.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
