BE A SERVANT OF CHRIST TO BE A MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL

God's blessings shall follow you, for taking your time to study.

TOPIC: BE A SERVANT OF CHRIST TO BE A MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL

TEXT: MARK 3:13-19
MONDAY AUGUST 28TH

Key verse: John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Today’s scriptural reading accounts for the purpose of the divine call. These disciples of Jesus received the commission to be ministers of the gospel. He called them to be with Him and to minister to Him. So, a minister is one who is with Jesus. He must be with Jesus that is the first thing. A preacher must first be a servant under Jesus. Sometimes, the church invites preachers who are not servants under Jesus; hence, they are not ministers. A medical doctor can be called to come and teach medical knowledge. He is not a minister of Jesus because he is not with Him; he is not born again; he is not teaching by the Holy Ghost; he is just impacting physical knowledge. Jesus’ minister must be with Him. The church must be very careful that they don’t just call anybody that professes to be a minister, but does not know Christ.
Some people pretend that they have seen revelation, but it is a lie because Jesus did not appear to them. They are not Christ’s ministers. A minister of Christ must first be with Him, must be born again, serve Him, and learn from him. “… And he got up into a mountain and calleth unto him whom he would and they came unto him and he ordained twelve that they should be with him and that he might send them forth to preach.” The disciples were to learn Christ’s life and ministry and the doctrines to go and preach. They are to observe and understand how they are to render service as ministers of Christ.  Mathew 11:29. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me. Jesus is saying, “Learn of My life and doctrine.” An apprentice must learn from the master how he does his business. He will learn his attitude and mannerisms on how to treat customers. If he is a bad man, the apprentice will be like his master; but Jesus is a good man so He is saying, Learn My life, learn My doctrine.

Thought for the day: If you are not with Christ, you cannot represent Him well.

Song for the day: Lord I want to be like Jesus in my life

Bible reading for the day: Psalm 136-138; 1 Corinthians 9

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
