JOSHUA THE COURAGEOUS YOUTHFUL LEADER

God bless you for taking your time to study.

TOPIC: JOSHUA THE COURAGEOUS YOUTHFUL LEADER

TEXT: Deuteronomy 34: 1-8

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 19TH

Key Verse: “This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shall have success” (Joshua 1:8)
God instructed Moses to select from the heads of the tribes of Israel one person each to go and spy on the land of Canaan, and to bring the report of their findings to the congregation of Israel. A greater number of the spies brought an evil report to the congregation and the people revolted against Moses and Aaron. They even made a proposal to pick a leader who will lead them back to Egypt, but Joshua and Caleb encouraged the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it”.
We have in our midst today people who will discourage you from taking bold steps to serve the Lord or come out of sin. We are ready to go to any length to encourage you to remain steadfast in the Lord, like Joshua and Caleb. Those destroyers are the caterpillars in our midst, while the builders are the pillars. Many were the followers of Jesus Christ in His days of ministry, but the Bible tells us that some went back and followed Him no more (John 6:60-66) because the message was too hard for them to bear. Know that the mix of multitudes is still among us as in the days of Moses. Never get discouraged by evil winds around us, remain encouraged, and stay on in HOREMOW, which is the waiting room for heaven.
Joshua was a youthful and courageous leader who took brave steps to fight, win and conquer lands for the children of Israel as instructed by God. Notable events in the life of Joshua are the crossing of the Jordan, the fall of Jericho, the battle of Ai, and the renewal of the covenant between God and His people. What can God say about you?

Thought for the day: Decide today whom you will serve

Song for the day: We can go up and take the country…

Bible reading for the day:
Jeremiah 1-2; 2 Thessalonians 2

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...
