WORSHIPPING GOD IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH

God bless you for taking your time to study.

TOPIC: WORSHIPPING GOD IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH

TEXT: JOHN 4:20-24

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 26th

Key verse: John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth.
Jesus had a dialogue with the woman of Samaria on worship. She pointed to a mountain in her place and said their fathers worshipped there, but that the Jews were saying worship could only take place in Jerusalem. The word worship in the sense she used refers to the total of all the activities that go on in a place of religious meeting.
The Jews were contented with Samaritans on the right place of worship. Jesus showed that the Samaritans did not know what they were worshipping. Only those who were saved could understand the Person of worship. The Jews were taught the way of salvation by which they could worship God with understanding. God’s temple was in Jerusalem and the Jews resorted to Jerusalem during prescribed feasts for worship.
As the discussion proceeded, Jesus introduced to her the dispensation of grace in which worship would take a different dimension. Under the dispensation of the grace of God, worship is not in a place but the heart of worshippers. Hence the emphasis is not on the place of worship but on the life of worshippers.
In the dispensation of grace, worship refers to full obedience to the word of God exhibited by a soul that is born again, which manifests in a work of righteousness and holiness. Many worshippers claim that they worship the living God, but not all of them are true worshippers of God. Jesus reveals that true worship is in spirit and truth. To worship God in spirit requires that the worshipper be a citizen of the kingdom of God. To be a citizen of God’s kingdom one must be born again.

For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...
Every Word Of God For Daily Living For taking your time to study remain blessed July Tuesday 9th TOPIC: WE ARE IN THE TWILIGHT HOUR OF RAPTURE TEXT: Ephesians 5:26-27 KEY VERSE: Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Seeing the traces of the features of the next dispensation in this present dispensation, you should know that you are in the twilight hour. What is a twilight hour? A twilight hour is that hour of the day that you begin to see the traces of the night while it is still daylight (probably 7:00pm to 7:30pm). It is not completely dark, yet it is not complete bright either. While it is still day, you are seeing the traces of the night. A twilight hour is the hour when you are still in this dispensation but you are already seeing traces of the next. The twilight hour is the time that our Lord Jesus Christ was born and even though He came with the New Test...
