GOD IS THE FOCUS OF PRAISE, THANKSGIVING, AND WORSHIP

TEXT: PSALM 47:6-7

MONDAY AUGUST 8th

Key verse: Psalm 47:7 “For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding”.
We are to sing praises to God, give thanks, and worship Him with understanding. This makes the praises and worship of God to be meaningful and pleasant. It makes our praise, thanksgiving, and worships a sacrifice of a sweet-smelling savor, acceptable by God. This entails that:
1. We know Who we praise, thank and worship: God is worthy of praise, thanks, and worship. All creatures praise and worship Him as the One who made all things for His glory. He ordained praise, thanksgiving, and worship of Himself as the duty of His creatures. He redeemed fallen man from sin for His praise and worship. He inhabits the praise and worship of His saints. Praise and worship of God are to the Godhead; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
2. Praise the name of the Lord: The name of the Lord is His Person. It is the same thing with the Person of the Lord. To praise the name of the Lord means to praise the Lord. Exodus 3:13-15:
3. Praise God for His Holiness: Revelation 4:8-11. God is holy. His name is holy. His word is holy. His throne is holy. His dwelling place, heaven, is holy. His angels are holy. The saints in heaven are holy. All living creatures in heaven are holy. God lives forever. He is all-powerful and all-wise. He is unique. He sustains the created worlds. He is truthful, faithful, and dependable. His holiness is the reason for His judgment against sin and evildoers, His perfect love for us, the atonement of Jesus Christ, our salvation and sanctification, and our holiness.
4. Praise God for His marvelous works: The creative works of God, visible and invisible, are marvelous. God controls and maintains the universe, Satan and his wicked demons, and sustains men and women of all races on the earth in His marvelous wisdom and power. God's redemptive works among men on earth through the gospel of His Son Jesus Christ require praise and worship.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The Source Of Faith

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. The Source Of Faith  Tuesday 18th March Text: Romans 1:16-17 Key Verse: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 What is the foundation for our faith? The faith of the just man has the following sources, from where it gets its inspiration. The Word Of God: The foundation of the faith of the just, is the word of God.  The word of God is the production room of the faith which the just exercises. The faith of the just has its foundation in what God has said in His word.  Faith seeks for what God has said to stand upon.  Have you seen the promises of God for you, from the word? Have you seen God's message for you, in the scriptures?  Believe it absolutely, and it shall surely come to pass. This will enhance your faith for subsequent needs of your life. “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, ...
