THE HOLY COMMUNION

God bless you for taking your time to study.

THE HOLY COMMUNION

MONDAY AUGUST 22nd

TEXT: LUKE. 22: 19 –20

Key verse: For as often as ye eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he comes. I Corinthians 11:26
The Holy Communion or Lord’s Supper is a rite Jesus instituted for His followers to observe in remembrance of His sacrificial death until He returns to rapture the church. The fact that it was carried out in the evening does not mean it must only be taken in the evening. What is significant is the memory it gives to the church concerning the sacrificial death of Jesus anytime it is taken.
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he comes.
The following are stated in Paul’s presentation:
 The bread represents the body
 The wine (non-alcoholic) represents the blood
 Taking these two items is in remembrance of Jesus’ death till He returns
 The rite is to be observed often by the church
 The partakes must ensure there is no un-confessed sin in their lives
 It is dangerous for sinners to partake of this rite in their sin
 Judgment follows those who take this in sin.

Thought for the day: Holy Communion shows the Lord’s death till He comes.

Song for the day: In the cross, in the cross…

Bible reading for the day:
Psalms 119:49-104; 1Corinthians 4

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
