CARE WELL FOR YOUR SPIRIT, SOUL, AND BODY

God bless you for taking your time to study.

TOPIC: CARE WELL FOR YOUR SPIRIT, SOUL, AND BODY

TEXT: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:22-24

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 3rd

Key verse: 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
What today's reading text is saying is that the three persons in a man-the spirit, the soul, and the body, should be well cared for and well preserved. We know that it is the responsibility of God to preserve us blameless to the end and we always pray to God for this. However, we also share in this responsibility. This makes it a dual responsibility. If we do our part well God will surely do His. It is a covenant. It is an agreement between you and God concerning your preservation. God will do His part because He is faithful. After all, you pray to Him, and others intercede for you. You too must play your role well. It is the desire of God that we should be spiritually fruitful, holy, and healthy.
3 John 1:1-2 1 The elder unto the well-beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
This scripture states the same biblical truth; the prosperity, soundness, and well-being of the whole man (the spirit, the soul, and the body), is desired by God. We should desire this for ourselves and our fellow brethren. The soul and spirit form the spiritual man which is not seen as the physical body. Very often, the spirit and the soul are closely joined together but the word of God reveals that they can be separated. Desire your brother’s well-being. With the members of your Church their well-being. Paul said I have not shunned to present to you all that is profitable for you because I desire your wellbeing. I desire your spiritual welfare. I desire your bodily welfare also, that you may prosper in health. We need it. We want you to be healthy in the body. If you are not healthy, how do you carry out the work of God?

Thought for the day: Care for your whole being to be available for God's service.

Song for the day: My spirit, soul, and body praise the Lord.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
