FORGETFULNESS IS THE PLAGUE OF HUMANITY

FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD REMAIN BLESSED.

DATE: TUESDAY 20th JULY

TOPIC: FORGETFULNESS IS THE PLAGUE OF HUMANITY

TEXT:   Deuteronomy 32:17-18

Key verse: Jeremiah 2:32 Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

God wants us to remember Him always. He wants us to do well to remember His works because if we forget, forgetfulness has its implications. That was the reason why holy communion was given to the Church for Jesus said, “

This does in remembrance of me.” God wants us to remember good things for good reasons. He also wants us to remember some evil things because He has used those evil things to work out wonderful good for our lives.

Forgetfulness is the plague of humanity. It hinders the blessings of many. Joseph was in prison with the chief butler and the chief baker; he interpreted their dreams for them and told the chief butler who was in charge of the king's wine that he was going to be restored to serve the king as before.

He pleaded with him to remember him before the king as he was an innocent man cast into prison. The man left the prison, went back to his service and forgot the goodness of Joseph.

He forgot to tell the king about someone he had met in prison who blessed his life and the effect of his forgetfulness was that Joseph spent some more time in the prison until God in His way provided another opportunity to interpret another dream, which made the butler remember Joseph.

See the blessing that came upon Joseph when the chief butler remembered to tell the king about him: he became the second person in authority in the land and he delivered the land from starvation and death. Can you see what remembrance can do?

There is much in remembrance for yourself and others but many suffer forgetfulness. You must pray that God will quicken your memory because you are forgetting important things. Some of you have forgotten shoes, money, clothes, even human beings.

You went with them to a place and forgot that you went with somebody. At one time, Joseph and Mary forgot twelve-year-old Jesus at the temple in Jerusalem and set back home. It was on the way they remembered and returned to pick Him up.

They forgot their Creator, Lord and Saviour who came in human flesh. So I pray the Lord will quicken your memory so that you will keep essential information in your active memory to enable you to retrieve them at critical moments for the blessing of yourself, your family and humanity.

Thought for the day: In times of prosperity and adversity, always remember God and
His good works.
Song for the day: Come and make my heart Your home

Bible reading for the day: Psalm 31-33;
Acts 21:15-40. #Horemow

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. January Saturday 18th TOPIC: HOW TO ATTAIN BIBLE HOLINESS TEXT: Romans 6:20-23 KEY VERSE: Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Besides the essential knowledge of the holy life of a Christian, it is good to understand the manner and process of becoming holy before God. Holiness of life is a life that has overcome sin through the saving power of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. It is a life that does not commit sin. 1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Getting this experience requires four things: 1. Know that apart from holiness, there is no alternative lifestyle for heaven. Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holin...
