Topic: WHAT IT MEANS WHEN GOD FORGIVES YOUR SIN                  December Sunday 27th

Text: Psalm 103:11-12

Key verse: 2 Samuel 12:13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD.

And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

It is a great thing to receive God’s forgiveness of sins committed against Him and man. The benefits include the followings:

It means the judgment or penalty which you are to suffer now or later is cancelled. What a joy! The Lord has forgiven you your sin and says you are no more going to hell. Now you can heave a sigh of relief.

The record of sin is cleansed or blotted out. There is a book of record where record of sins are kept and from which sinners will be judged and condemned, but when your sins are forgiven it means that record will be blotted out. There is forgiveness with God that he should be praised and worshipped. If God were to mark iniquity, who can stand? We are serving the God that forgives sins.

The removal of the power to sin in your life. The power to sin has been taken out of your life. That is how we know the difference. If your sins have been forgiven, then you are not sinning again because sin will no more be attractive to you.

There is impartation of divine power into the soul not to sin anymore. Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, “Go and sin no more.” That commandment from the Lord imparted divine power into that woman to go and live a righteous life.

It is the restoration to fellowship with God. Your sin separated you from God but now that your sins are forgiven, your relationship with God has been restored. Such was the case with the prodigal son. The father embraced him, changed his garment and he stayed in the house in continual fellowship.

Access to divine blessings. Formerly, you could not pray and receive answer to your prayer but now you are a child. You are a saint. You have been accepted. You have access to the privileges of God because your sins have been forgiven.

There is joy and peace. There is joy of salvation and peace of God that surpasses all understanding. Hallelujah!

Thought for the day: Jesus has paid your debt of sin and freed you from the penalty of death.

Song for the day: He loves me I cannot say why....

Bible reading for the day: Zechariah 4-6; Revelation 18

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
