TOPIC: REJECT UNGODLY DEMANDS IN MARRIAGE PROCESS December Thursday 10th
Text: Genesis 29: 18-22
Key verse: Genesis 34: 12 Ask me never so much dowry and gift, and I will give according to as ye shall say unto me: but give me the damsel to wife.

Satisfactory settlement in dowry payment and other legitimate demands of the parents should be done to enable the release of their daughter for marriage. Ungodly demands should be politely and firmly rejected. Neither should money equivalent be given. Sister, if you are a Christian, start working on your parents now if you are hoping to get married to a righteous man. Let them know that whiskey or alcohol is not acceptable and money will not be given in exchange for it. Get them prepared against those abominable things. These standards were set by their forefathers that didn’t know the gospel, but we are not going after the customs and traditions of men. Therefore, prepare your parents for your marriage settlement. Explain to them all the things that are not to be done. List them one by one now that you have not even brought a suitor home yet. Get them informed so that they can get prepared.

Of course, the marriage committee will delegate people that will go with you. It is not just two of you that will go for the ceremony and pay the bride price because if you go alone, we would not know if you have compromised there since we do not have witnesses. If we have no witness to testify of what you did there; whether or not you even met your dowry obligation to the sister’s parents, how then do you think that we would wed you? You went and gave alcohol to some people and now you say we should wed you? My brethren, don’t ever bring pollution to Holiness Revival Movement in your State and Nation. It is better that you do not wed than that you wed a polluted person. Everything must be supervised and assessed in holiness from the beginning to the end to ensure holiness all through the process. As Paul said, “That I might present them perfect unto the Lord.” That is how it should be. We will not lay hand suddenly on any man so as not to become a partaker of his or her sin.

Thought for the day: Ungodly demands should be politely and firmly rejected during the marriage process.
Song for the day: Something more than gold, something more than silver....
Bible reading for the day: Hosea 5-8; Revelation 1

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
