TOPIC: SATAN HAS HIJACKED MANY DENOMINATIONAL CHURCHES    December Monday 14th

Text: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Key verse: 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Martin Luther saw that the church under the Catholic Pope was a corruption of the original and was devoid of salvation for the people; a church left with only carnal ordinance of penance where people were told to work out their salvation through self-afflictions. Salvation was no longer based on the faith of the believers on Jesus Christ and the finished work of redemption at Calvary, but on suffering one’s body. Martin Luther disagreed with their false beliefs and dogmas and began to preach that the just shall live by faith. For his holy stance, the catholic fathers persecuted him greatly. Because of the persecution, the godly ones moved out of the Catholic church and became known as “Protestants.” The word “protestant” became a denominational name for them. Up till now, we still protest against worship of Mary and her image. We reject bowing down to idols, counting beads and calling upon dead saints in prayers, and other abominable practices.

In the course of time, others among the Protestants began to move out with their own sectional names, while some insisted on standing on the faith of Martin Luther and called themselves Lutheran Church. In this way, more churches with various denominational names began to spring up. Denominationalism was divine wisdom meant to preserve the Christian faith. It was initially devastating to Satan. He polluted the church with false doctrines to kill the truth but he later discovered that the truth was still alive among some Christian groups who had separated themselves from the polluted church. However, as time went on, Satan still came in and began to form his own denominations by giving various dreams to some people and making some strange appearances to others. Satan began to call and ordain ministers to preach by his inspiration all over the world. As a result, corruption re-entered into the church. Today, we have denominational authorities who are ruling in accordance to the will of Satan, taking ignorant people far away from God. We have today, different sects, different groups with different beliefs and traditions all over the world who are adamant to correction. Unfortunately, their church members think they are being loyal to Christ by submitting themselves to these apostate, erroneous and backslidden leaders. They think they are doing service to God. What a great error!

Thought for the day: Satan also calls and ordains ministers to preach by his inspiration.

Song for the day: I will never let the devil win the battle

Bible reading for the day: Amos 1-3; Revelation 5

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
