TOPIC: COMMITMENT TO GOD’S WORD   December Saturday 26th

Text: Psalm 119:7-12

Key verse: Psalm 119: 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

The Bible tells us the characteristics of the word of God. It produces the righteousness of God in the believer. It makes the servant of God wise. As you get consecrated to reading and obeying the word of God, it will purge and cleanse you and make you a victorious Christian in your life and ministry. The scriptures point us to Jesus Christ, and it is very useful in all areas of life, family, church, community, government, and organization. It is profitable for doctrine, for instructions in righteousness, corrections in life, thought, actions, and imaginations. Your mind is renewed by the word of God. The word of God changes your life and helps you relate to human beings in a proper way. Do not go contrary to the word of God. Paul rebuked Peter when he walked contrary to the gospel. Some part of the word may seem hard to understand but it is given for our eternal good and to make the child of God thoroughly furnished unto all good works. The word of God is pure and perfect. There is no lie in it. Verify every promise, it shall not fail.

The word is clean and it also cleanses. There is no uncleanness in it. Forever O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. There is no lie nor hypocrisy in the word of God. It breaks the heart into pieces. It is like a fire that burns and purifies. It is full of power and Holy Ghost anointing. Jeremiah said that the word was burning in him as fire until he spoke or preached it. It makes you born again and sanctifies your heart. It is the word of life; the word of faith; the word of truth; and the word of power. It makes you strong in the faith. It increases your faith and righteousness. It is the word of hope. There is the hope of rewards in heaven. Mansions and crowns are waiting for us. It is the word of wisdom and it makes us wise; wiser than our adversaries and enemies. It is the word of judgment, by its judgment is pronounced. When Nebuchadnezzar refused to humble himself before God, judgment was pronounced upon him. These are some of the characteristics of the word of God.

Thought for the day: Every word of God is essential for your life.

Song for the day: Something more than gold … the word of God in the life of man Bible reading. Zechariah 1-3; Revelation 17

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
