TOPIC: GOD IS NOT INTERESTED IN THE GIFT OF SINNERS
TEXT: Acts 8:18-23
KEY VERSE: Deuteronomy 23:18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

There are ministers who are more concerned for the gift presented than the state of the giver. These ones receive all gifts without questioning and bless every giver without considering their state in the sight of God. Matthew 5:23-24, “Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.” This scripture reveals that God is more concerned with the state of the giver than the gift presented by him. God is more concerned for your righteousness than your sacrifice and service. In the reading text for today, Apostle Peter rebuked Simon the sorcerer who in bond of iniquity offered money to him. His heart was not right with God.

The sinner has no portion in God’s holy service. The gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is not a business investment opportunity for sinners to give and make quick riches. All who give in sin have no reward from God. Many preachers work in opposite direction to God. They are more interested in the money and material gifts of the people than in their righteousness. These preachers do not profit the people at all. Jeremiah 6:13-14, “For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” These are not ministers of truth and righteousness, but of their own belly. Peter firmly declared to Simon the sorcerer that he was sinful and wicked. Giving money earned in sin to God is equally wickedness and will attract the judgment of God. Repentance from sin, evil works and professions is required of the sinner. God is holy, to give to Him acceptably you must first give yourself to Him in purity of heart, clothing and adornment. It is only by doing this that you and your material resources belong to Him and your gifts can be precious in His sight.

Thought for the day: Offer yourself first before bringing your gift to God.
Song for the day: Holiness is the beauty of believers, Lord I want to be Holy, Lord I want……
Bible reading for the day: 1 Samuel 17-18; Luke 15:1-10

Every Word Of God For Daily Living For taking your time to study remain blessed July Tuesday 9th TOPIC: WE ARE IN THE TWILIGHT HOUR OF RAPTURE TEXT: Ephesians 5:26-27 KEY VERSE: Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Seeing the traces of the features of the next dispensation in this present dispensation, you should know that you are in the twilight hour. What is a twilight hour? A twilight hour is that hour of the day that you begin to see the traces of the night while it is still daylight (probably 7:00pm to 7:30pm). It is not completely dark, yet it is not complete bright either. While it is still day, you are seeing the traces of the night. A twilight hour is the hour when you are still in this dispensation but you are already seeing traces of the next. The twilight hour is the time that our Lord Jesus Christ was born and even though He came with the New Test...
