THE PREACHER AS A DILIGENT SERVANT OF CHRIST
TEXT: TITUS 1:5-9
Key Verse: “If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto hast attained” 1Timothy 4:6.

As Christ's servant, the preacher is called and commissioned by Christ, hence, his loyalty is to Christ and not to man, a denomination or a board. As God's servant, he must hear the word of God, receive the word from God and know the mind of Christ for himself and for the people. Hearing from God is not just by dreams, vision, inward impression, audible voice. It involves studying and knowing the written word of God in the Holy Bible. Apart from knowing and receiving the word from God, the preacher needs to be endued with power by the Holy Spirit for utterance, signs and wonders to authenticate the gospel. The preacher must learn the life of faith in order to please God and he must give to prayer in order to receive from God and enjoy His bountiful revelations. As God's servant he must know that suffering for the gospel is the will of God for His ministry as exemplified by Christ.

As God's messenger to men, the preacher should possess the following qualities:

i. He must be faithful to the message, never to change it in fear or pity for the people; otherwise God will not be in the message to effect it.
ii. He must be fearless, bold and courageous in preaching the word to all categories of men.
iii. He must preach sound doctrines that is able to save hearers; not a compromiser of truth.
iv. He must preach the truth without minding whether the people receive his message or not.
v. He must not mind persecution and suffering, so as to accomplish his ministry among the people.
vi. He must be meek, humble, gentle and loving in his disposition.
vii. He must be exemplary in life and character, being a role model to his hearers

God is the one directing this Movement. He has shown sufficient signs and spoken at various times that Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide is His own. We do see the result, the evidence in our lives and in our midst. Those who deal with this Movement should know that it is not a dealing with man but God. Those who minister here are privileged people. Therefore, let all serve with diligence knowing that they are under the close watch of God.

KEY VERSE: It came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said, Lord, teach us how to pray as John taught his disciples. Luke 11: 1. When Jesus Christ came to us in the flesh, He went into the business of prayer because He was promoting the attribute of God as a prayer-answering God. He would not render that attribute idle or redundant. Nobody knew how John did it, but Jesus reveals here that the success you saw in the ministry of John the Baptist, the victory you saw in his ministry, is because he was a prayer man. John so much valued prayer. He saw the essentials of pr...
