TOPIC: PRAISE AND WORSHIP GOD WITH UNDERSTANDING
TEXT: PSALM 95:1-7
Key Verse: “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise” Psalm 98:4.

We are to sing praises, give thanks and worship God with understanding. This makes the praises and worship of God to be meaningful and pleasant. It makes our praise, thanksgiving and worship a sacrifice with a sweet smelling savour, acceptable by God. Praising and worshiping God with understanding means you know:

i. Who you praise, thank and worship.
ii. Why you praise, thank and worship Him.
iii. What you praise, thank and worship God for.
iv. How to praise, thank and worship Him.
v. Where to praise, thank and worship Him.
vi. When to praise, thank and worship Him.
vii. With whom to praise, thank and worship God.

This is worshipping God with understanding. Having been properly schooled by the Psalmist, you are now prepared to be led by the psalmist through the psalms for the true praise, thanksgiving and worship of God. Refresh your praise, thanksgiving and worship of God with these psalms:

Psalm 97:1-9 The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. 2  Clouds and darkness are round about Him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of His throne. 3  A fire goeth before Him, and burneth up His enemies round about. 4  His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled. 5  The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. 6  The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the people see His glory. 7  Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship Him, all ye gods. 8  Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of Thy judgments, O LORD. 9  For Thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: Thou art exalted far above all gods.

Psalm 47:6, 7. 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. 7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

Thought for the day: Give Him praise with thanksgiving in every circumstance of life.
Song for the day: Praising the Lord always 2x praising the Lord, with all my heart…
Bible reading for the day:

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
