TOPIC: HOLY GHOST BAPTISM IN CHRISTIAN MINISTRY
TEXT: ACTS 10:44-47
KEY VERSE: Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Holy Ghost baptism signifies the power of God in a believer. The Holy Ghost as the third Person of the Godhead indwells the believer for spiritual guidance and empowerment enabling him to live and serve in the perfect will of God. Baptism in the Holy Ghost is one the key goals of our Lord’s mission on earth. He had specifically instructed His disciples not to begin their ministry until they had been baptized in the Holy Ghost and endued with power from on high. This followed the pattern of what Jesus Christ Himself experienced, for He did not enter His ministry until He was anointed with Holy Ghost and power. Holy Ghost baptism is the work of grace in the life of a believer subsequent to spiritual regeneration although it could take place simultaneously as experienced in the house of Cornelius (Acts 10:44-45). The initial outward manifestation of Holy Ghost baptism is speaking in tongues. Apart from this initial sign, subsequent manifestations in the life of the believer include power of courage, boldness, confidence and authority to witness which all produce extraordinary results.

Other results of baptism in the Holy Ghost include:

a) Prophetic utterances and praise
b) Greater sensitivity to sin and consciousness of God’s judgment against all ungodliness
c) Stronger desire to live holy and righteous life that pleases God
d) Ability to live a life that brings glory to God
e) Deeper vision and spiritual insight
f) Manifestation of various gifts of the Holy Spirit for edification of the church
g) Fervency in prayer
h) Deeper love for God and the brethren
i) Growing interest in the word of God and deeper understanding of it
j) Deeper personal relationship with God as Abba Father

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
