TOPIC: WEARING OF TROUSERS FORBIDDEN FOR WOMEN

TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 5: 21-23
Key verse: The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God. Deuteronomy 22: 5
QUESTION: Why is it that the Bible emphasizes that women are not to wear trouser?
ANSWER: Generally, every sex, male or female has clothes fitting for him or her and the Lord demands that we should be properly covered so that we don’t affect the righteousness of our neighbor. Thou shall love your neighbor as yourself and the bible says let every man see that he does not lay a stumbling block on the way of His neighbor. When a woman puts on that which belongs to a man, she will lack the proper covering required for her body building. Some sensitive parts of her body will appear and that will affect another person in his morality, in his thoughts and that will become a sin unto them.
The Bible says whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart; and wearing trousers by a woman exposes her privacy. In fact a woman on trouser that is a passing a man is as one passing a house with an open door. Your eyes must be attracted to see what is inside this room. Yes you are passing by a house, a good house, but the door of the house is open. You are automatically attracted to look into the house, because there is a desire in man to see that which is in secret.
A woman that appears in trousers attracts every man, because she is not properly covered, something has been left exposed that is attracting the eye of the passersby and unfortunately that which is left exposed is that which tells a lot on Christian morality. So because of her trouser, she has caused many people according to the word of God, to commit adultery in their hearts. When she is sitting on a motorcycle, what happens to her buttocks behind? It pulls down and men’s eyes automatically go there! Because those buttocks where not meant for trousers. This promotes immorality in the society. As a holy Christian woman, you are supposed to be a standard both in character and in dressing. Let others see Jesus in you.
