TOPIC: WHAT ABOUT LUST AFTER THE OPPOSITE SEX?
DECEMBER Wednesday 12th
TEXT: 2 Samuel 11: 1-5
KEY VERSE: I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid? Job 31: 1
Your mind just goes off and hooks to a lady. It hooks so hard that when you turn this way, it turns with you. Have mosquitoes troubled you before? Apart from mosquitoes, there is this other small flying insect in the bush that is worse than mosquitoes. It pesters you so much that, if you are not careful, it will enter your nose, your eyes, and even your nose. If you hit it this way, it goes that way; each way you turn, it follows you till you get upset.
That’s how lust can grip you! “What is happening to me? I have my wife, but what is happening to me now? You will be wondering. Go to God in prayer. God will root out that lust. Why should it bring you to shame? Why should you be hypocritical in your life? Why should you be incomplete? Why should you be leprous? Take it to God in prayer! What a friend we have in Jesus, all our grief and pains to bear; what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.

The spirit of lust is strong and compelling. It requires violent and practical approach to overcome it. Faith in Christ for His salvation and persistent spiritual warfare against the thoughts and forces of lust will certainly deliver you. Sometimes you may need to confide in some mature Christians for assistance in counselling and prayers. Use the word of God; the name of Jesus; the blood of Jesus; confession of faith; prayer and fasting; and spiritual discipline for your victory in this battle. Every true believer everywhere is engaged in the battle of holiness and heaven. Lay hold on eternal life and fight the good fight of faith as a youth, a single Christian, or a married person, a widow or widower, even a physically challenged person. The cloud of lust covering your mind shall certainly roll away in Jesus name, Amen.
Thought for the day: The spirit of lust is strong and compelling. It requires violent and practical approach to overcome it
Song for the day: I will never let the devil win the battle
Bible reading for the day:
Hosea 12-14; Revelation 3

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
