TOPIC: STRANGE DIMENSION IN USE OF ANOINTING OIL OCTOBER Friday 19th
TEXT: 1 Corinthians 14: 36-40
KEY VERSE: Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5: 22
The use of anointing oil for healing of the sick is mentioned once by James, but then, you find anointing oil in another dimension in the present church. They use anointing oil to anoint ministers, where did you get the example from? Jesus did not anoint His disciples with oil; He didn’t anoint the Apostles with oil. The apostles did not anoint their under-ministers, under-shepherds with oil. When Paul and Barnabas were being commissioned to a missionary journey, the elders of the church did not anoint them with oil. They fasted and laid their hands upon them and prayed and released them. When Paul took Timothy, he did not anoint him with oil. Titus and all the other ministers were not anointed with oil. Then you who use anointing oil in your church to anoint ministers, people you appoint to go and stand as ushers, you are anointing them with oil; people you are ask to sweep the ground, you say that’s a ministry, you anoint them with oil. Where did you get it from? It’s a strange spirit, and since you have added to the word of God, you have given the devil occasion.
That’s why you and those you anointed with oil are fake ministers; not preaching the correct thing. What has happened to them? What spirit was communicated to you? And where is this anointing oil from? How come that it has become so rampart? An enemy has done this. It came into the church when men slept. A man sowed good seed in his field, but an enemy came and sowed tares. You are not watchful, the enemy has come and has sown the tares of anointing oil, and you think that it is from scripture, never from the scripture of truth. It’s from a strange spirit, and that is responsible for many of the strange things you are seeing in the body of Christ. A strange power is being communicated because it cannot be proved in the scripture. To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this word; it is because there is no truth in them.
Now, how much more of anointing oil for breakthrough; anointing oil for interview; anoint your tongue; anoint your eye so that you can see well as a witch or as a wizard! You anoint your eye so that you can see well. Use of anointing oil in your business premises to cast out demons; to protect the place from witchcraft! Where did you get that thing from? The Israelites in their time in the Old Testament never anointed their premises with oil. Then why are you doing it? What is your authority? Not the scripture. So, what is the authority of these ministers? Where did you get this anointing oil from? To the extent that you have now turned the faith of God’s people from Jesus to the anointing bottle.
