THE LIFE OF THE MINISTER.   SUNDAY NOVEMBER 5
TEXT: 2 TIMOTHY 3: 10-17
Key verse: “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of knowing of whom thou hast learned them” 2Timothy 3:14.
Today we shall examine your life as a preacher. You were not called to your own salvation only but for the salvation of others. Every true believer is a preacher in every aspect of his life; at home, in the community, at work, in business, in market, in politics, in school etc. Before one becomes a preacher he must first of all be a Christian. The preacher as a Christian servant who is to preach the gospel of Christ fruitfully requires loyalty to him and his word. The life of the preacher must be a message to men; to minister effectively among men, certain qualities are required. Foundational doctrine must be understood by whoever desires to be a preacher. The Bible reveals these basic essentials. There must be thorough repentance from all sins. Faith must be exercised on the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins, born again experience and complete newness. Thorough repentance and salvation from sin where required; such as settling quarrels, apologizing to those he offended, forgiving those who offended him, returning misappropriated property, withdrawing from all falsehood disclaiming false result or certificate, settling the issues of ungodly marriage relationship, dressing modestly and decently devoid of worldliness such as the use of gold and jewelry by women, sagging by men, etc. Apart from making them born again the Holy Spirit sanctified and cleanses the believers so they may properly reflect the person of Christ. All believers manifest the fruit of righteousness and holiness, glory, love, faith, joy, patience and other Christian virtues. All who believe are to be baptized in water baptism with the Holy Spirit. This is God's promise to all who believe in him. Water baptism is commanded to be observed by everyone who has believed the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the father's power for every believer. The evidence of this is purification of heart, inner cleansing from inbred sin or adamic nature for the purpose of inner holiness. Jesus provided this experience for the believers on the cross. Those who believe in and call on him shall be sanctified. All preachers of Christ must accept all scripture doctrine, teach all doctrine of Christ and prance all the word of God without preference. Man is a moral agent and is accountable to God, he is responsible for his life on earth and shall face the great judgment of God after his death. This will determine where he will spend eternity, heaven or hell fire. You are still alive so you can propagate the gospel of Christ.
Thought for the day: Woe is me if I preach not the Gospel of Christ.
Song for the day: I will make you fishers of men if you follow Me
Bible Reading for the day: Jeremiah 40-42; Hebrews 2

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
